Season Starts
April has come and we were hit with one last blast of snow which is slowly starting to melt. My training has been rolling along well. My running times are dropping everytime I set out on my course for time. I just battled a minor foot injury which has healed well (I think). I'm off to do a cold and wet training road ride today. The month of April brings in the start of the racing season. Owen Sound's Time Trials kick off in a week, O-cup MTB #1 at Mansfield is at the end of the month. From the coaching side of things April is a very very important month. Its a time we blend in interval, and speed work with our regular longer rides. It is also a month that intensity increases. Rest is key for this month. Last year I kicked off the 2006 season with 10km TT course record. We will see how this year goes.
